Sponsored run for Berkhamsted Castle Trust
Alex Chopping, aged 10, is running 5 laps of George Street on Saturday 1st November. to raise money for the Castle Fields fundraising campaign. Berkhamsted Castle Trust needs to raise £500,000 in 2 years to preserve these historic and beautiful fields, part of the ancient Royal Deer Park and allow open access. Alex says, “I was inspired to raise some money for Save Castle Fields as it’s a special place for me and my family and it’s where we walk our dog, Ziggy. It’s important to make sure that Berkhamsted protects its green spaces and I wanted to do something to help raise money and awareness.” Berkhamsted Castle Trust is bowled over by Alex’s amazing effort – he has already secured over £500 in sponsorship – please do support him and help take him over the £1k mark! He’ll be running at 9.30 am if you are able to add some vocal support on the day.
