Lay people in St Peter’s congregation are actively involved in the Sunday Eucharist as servers, assisting the clergy during the service by taking part in the procession, the reading of the Gospel and the distribution of the communion bread and wine.
Assisting at church services is an opportunity to serve God in the holy sacraments. It also gives you a chance to deepen your faith and strengthen your bond with local community. By taking part in a service you can support the priest in making the service run smoothly and ensure that everyone gets the most out of Christian worship.
If you would like to assist as a server, a reader, sidesperson or welcomer, please get in touch. Full training will be given and you will only be asked to take part at times which suit you.
