Children at St Peter’s
We aim to encourage children to learn about God through enjoyable and relaxed activities, and there are lots of opportunities to make new friends and participate in good works in the local community.
On Sundays
Sunday School
Sunday school runs during the 9.30am Sunday service during term time. This is for children of primary school age (reception – year 6). Younger children/siblings are welcome to join us, but we ask that they are accompanied. The sessions involve reflection on the Gospel reading for that day, seasonal celebrations or other bible stories that can inspire the way we live. We use craft, drama and group activities, often generating great discussion and ideas from the children.
Church Choir
If you are aged 6 or above, you could join the church choir to sing on Sunday mornings.
- get free music tution
- make new friends
- come to fun social events
- earn extra pocket money!
- gain self-confidence and learn new music
- as you get better at singing, you can work towards your RSCM awards.
