celebration of life wallThe Celebration of Life Wall stands in the Garden of Remembrance within Rectory Lane Cemetery, St Peter’s historic detached burial ground. The Wall provides a space for people who have lost loved ones to place a lasting memorial in the form of a decorated glass tile.

 As the glass tiles are added, they form part of a beautiful and growing glass artwork, like a stained-glass jigsaw puzzle. Gradually, they are revealing an image of a wildflower meadow, designed by local glass artist, Jessica Ecott. As the sun shines through the coloured glass, cemetery visitors can find a space for remembering and giving thanks.

How to purchase a tile

You can purchase a tile and have it engraved with a short text. You may wish to commemorate someone who has died (perhaps in conjunction with having ashes interred here in the Cemetery), or celebrate an important life event such as a birth of a child or a wedding day.
