RSCM Voice for Life
On 22 March, four of our choristers took their Voice for Life exam in Caversham. These exams are provided by the Royal School of Church Music and are part of the training provided by membership in St Peter’s Choir. The exam comprises a prepared hymn, psalm, an anthem and an unaccompanied piece, plus aural and practical tests. All four passed, and the results were as follows:
- Joseph (Bronze level) – Commended
- Lizzie (Bronze level) – Highly Commended
- Georgie (Bronze level) – Commended
- Amelia (Silver level) – Highly Commended
Well done to all four! The results are a tribute to their hard work and dedication to the choir. This is also a reminder of the superb opportunities that St Peter’s Choir offers youngsters – a free musical education, giving them skills that will be with them for life.
