Parking!
As it gets busy for Christmas, we are experiencing an increase in parking problems. This is just to remind everybody: the car park next to St Peter’s does not belong to the church – it is the property of our neighbours, Carmenta Life. We have an agreement that parking spaces can be taken for church users only as follows:
- We have the use of two spaces at the end of the Court House – but the priority is for our Court House hirers
- The main car park can be used by church users:
- Weekdays only after 6:30pm
- All day Saturday & Sunday
Monday-Friday during office hours (i.e. up to 6:30pm) the car park is for Carmenta Life staff only. Please don’t park there at these times – this also applies if you have a contractor coming to fix things, choir singers, bellringers, orchestras, morris dancers or whoever!
We do also have two church spaces by the war memorial. If you are stuck for parking, the Tesco car park is a stone’s throw away and charges £2.10 for up to 2 hours, and if you don’t want to pay, Canal Fields is free and only 5 minutes’ walk away.
