New CD: Leon Bosch & Adrian Davis
Many will know that our esteemed Director of Music, Adrian Davis, is also a composer. Adrian studied composition at the Guildhall under Edmund Rubbra, and today he enriches our musical life with compositions for choir (among many pieces, our Sunday morning responsorial Psalms are his work) and chamber ensembles. A new CD has just been released by Meridian Records, The British Double Bass Sonatina, featuring the acclaimed double bassist Leon Bosch. The tracks include Reflections: Sonatina for Double Bass and Piano, three short pieces by Adrian Davis for double bass and piano, an evocative and emotional work.
