Last Sunday’s quarter peal

You may have heard the bells start ringing slightly earlier than normal on Sunday, this was to allow time for a quarter peal to mark the confirmation of four members of our congregation including two bellringers. A quarter peal is about 40 minutes of change ringing, with as few repetitions of any bell sequence as possible. Quarter peals are often rung to mark significant events in the life of the Parish.
