Joy at Easter

It was our joy and privilege to share our Holy Week and Easter worship with Archdeacon Charles Hudson, who led our services and preached with such inspiration on Sunday morning. It was wonderful to see the church packed full with worshippers, as we all gathered to proclaim joyfully “Christ is risen – He is risen indeed, alleluia!” As is our tradition, we concluded our Easter Parish Mass by inviting worshipers to join our choir in singing the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. Archdeacon Charles even joined in on the tenor line!

Thanks are due to everyone who worked so hard over the past few weeks to enable our worship at this most important time in the Christian calendar – to all who assisted at our services, welcoming people, supporting the Eucharist, serving at the altar, setting up, to all who made a special effort to clean the church, to all who ran our Sunday School, and to our church musicians for offering such glorious music. It has been a fantastic effort, all to the glory of God.

This Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of Easter, or Low Sunday, and our choir will be taking a well-earned week off!
