International Happiness Day at Victoria School
In Collective Worship we looked at the story from the Bible when Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey. We talked about if someone special came to visit what would we do and how would we feel. The children would be very excited and wanted to make sure they had a great time visiting by offering treats and doing activities together. We then talked about what praise meant and how the children could praise good deeds and others for things they do well.
Our Kindness Ambassadors met this week to help organise activities for International Day of Happiness. They went out on the playground and looked out for children who may need cheering up or someone to play with. They also wanted classes to do a kindness register were each person says a good thing about the next person in the register. All the children were given a kindness sticker at the end of the day to remind them to continue to spread happiness outside of school.
