Festival of Light update
We had a superb response to our appeal for donations towards fixing the leaking roof at the Festival of Light. Now that all the expenses and additional gifts have been totted up (including a generous £1000 donation from Berkhamsted School), we are delighted to report that the income from the festival has been revised upwards to £6881.53. This is a testament to the incredible organising and fundraising by Hayley Kazaneh and Peter McMunn, the work by our volunteers on the day, and to the affection that the people of this town hold their parish church, whether or not they are “religious”. There is a long way to go in our fundraising, but this result must warm our hearts.
