Exploring Bonhoeffer
Fr David’s Friday Thought this week provokes us to remember the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, on the 50th anniversary of his death at the hands of the Nazi regime. Here in the UK, statues of the Lutheran pastor can be found in St Albans Cathedral and at Westminster Abbey, and a recent film has been released entitled Bonhoeffer, which is available to watch on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
An event is coming up next month at St Paul’s Cathedral in London: Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury, will be speaking on the theme “Truth, Faith and Politics in a post-truth world: exploring Bonhoeffer today.” Tickets are free, but must be booked online via the St Paul’s Cathedral website:
