Exhibition: From Taste Wars to Star Wars:
This Sunday, the BFI National Archive and Dacorum Heritage are running an exhibition about advertising in Berkhamsted Civic Centre, as part of Heritage Open Days. From Taste Wars to Star Wars: Advertising Food and Film Made in Hertfordshire will bring together two unique heritage collections based in Berkhamsted: Dacorum Heritage’s Ovaltine Collection and the BFI National Archive’s film poster collection. The display will feature early 20th-century advertising art from the Ovaltine Factory in Kings Langley, while the BFI will showcase a small display of posters for films that were shot in Hertfordshire, sometimes called the “British Hollywood”.
10.30am-3.30pm at the Civic Centre, Berkhamsted High Street. Free entry, no booking required.
