Dacorum Community Trust: help for local residents in need
Dacorum Community Trust is a small, independent charity supporting people who are facing financial hardship in Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Tring, and the surrounding villages. They don’t give out money, but they can provide essential household items (e.g., beds, cots, white goods etc), baby clothing, nursery equipment, buggies, emergency kitchen and bedding starter packs, and gas/electricity and supermarket vouchers. With the rising cost of food and energy, DCT offers a lifeline for individuals and families in crisis across the borough.
If you or someone you know needs support, download an application form from their website. you can apply for help by phone or email, or by dropping into their office at The Forum on the Marlowes in Hemel Hempstead. You’ll need to provide proof of residency such as a recent utility bill or tenancy agreement, and evidence of income and expenditure (bank statement, a screen shot of any benefits).
DCT also welcomes donations – please consider sending them an online gift to support their work this winter.
