Advent at Victoria School
As we start Advent, the children have been thinking about our school values especially around kindness and thankfulness. I was delighted when a YR1 child came to me and showed her white candle she had brought in as she wanted to let me know ‘Jesus is the light of the world’. It is lovely when the children go away and reflect on what is discussed in worship.
On a kindness note, we are very excited in having been awarded £150 grant from the Kindness Ambassador fund. This was down to the hard work of one of our Kindness Ambassadors. They wrote a bid to get funding for a Kindness Stop and hi-vis jackets for our Kindness Ambassadors so the children on the playground could see who they were.
Next week the festivities start with our annual Nativity performances from Nursery and Reception. We also have real reindeers flying in today to see the children before they go off to deliver presents at Christmas.
