Appointing a new Bishop of St Albans
Our Acting Bishop, Bishop Richard, and Archdeacon Dave Middlebrook ask for our prayers in the selection process for a new Bishop of St Albans. Last week, on 20 and 21 January, the Crown Nominations Committee (CNC) interviewed candidates for the post. Following the interviews, the CNC will recommend candidates to the Prime Minister and then to the King. Assuming all goes to plan, an announcement will follow several weeks later, hopefully before Easter, and the formal appointment and arrival of the new bishop will be later in the year.
