Advent Carols
Last Sunday’s Advent Carol service saw the church filled with people, candles symbolising the promised light of Christ shining in the darkness, and choral music celebrating the Advent message filled the nave. Music such as James MacMillan’s ‘O Radiant Dawn’ and Richard Lloyd’s ‘Drop Down Ye Heavens’ spoke of light and hope as we prepare for Christmas. Once again, we are deeply grateful to our musicians, who have worked so hard to enrich our worship with glorious music.
We did attempt to livestream the service, but sadly the audio failed. Happily, St Albans Cathedral are blessed with a very professional broadcast system, and their beautiful Advent Procession is available to watch on YouTube.
