Confirmation
Are you a regular member of the congregation who has never been confirmed? If so, you are in good company – St Peter’s regularly welcomes adult churchgoers who aren’t confirmed or don’t receive communion.
At St Peter’s, we want everybody to be able to participate fully in our worship; receiving Holy Communion is how we express full participation in worship. We often run courses about the Christian Faith which are open to anyone who wants to learn more about being a Christian. Participants may then proceed to Confirmation if they wish, but there is no pressure to do so.
If you have not been confirmed, or you have come to us from another Christian church and would like to be confirmed as an Anglican, or if you just want to learn more about the Christian Faith, please get in touch with the Rector to find out about future confirmation courses.
Confirmation classes 2025
Confirmation Classes for children and young people will start on Friday 20th June. They will be on Fridays, 5.30-6.30pm, breaking for the summer holidays, and resuming at the beginning of September.
Sunday 5th October
Bishop Richard, acting Bishop of St Albans, will be joining us for our Parish Mass on Sunday 5th October to confirm those who have been prepared.
