WorkAid: help Young Women in Uganda
Chesham-based charity WorkAid are about to launch their Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025, raising money to empower young women in Uganda through vocational and business training. They are setting up a training centre in Lira, Northern Uganda, which will offer training in tailoring, sewing machine maintenance and business skills courses to young people, especially young women. Graduates will be provided with sewing machines to start up small businesses, encouraging economic self-sufficiency. For one week only, 2-9 December, every £1 you donate through the Big Give will be doubled! Get ready to send your gift and help young Ugandans to break the cycle of poverty:
