All Saints scores a half-century
It’s 50 years since Anglicans and Methodists came together in All Saints’ Church on Kitsbury Road. Berkhamsted Methodist Church on the High Street was closed and later demolished – the site is now occupied by Domino’s Pizza (next to Plates Restaurant). The Methodists moved uphill, to All Saints, where work began to alter the building and re-order the worship area in 1974. Today, the two denominations are united in worship and witness as and Anglican/Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership.
