Graham Greene International Festival
The Graham Greene International Festival returns in September, celebrating the life and writing of the Berkhamsted-born novelist. This year’s special guest is the Scottish, satirist, writer and broadcaster Armando Iannucci (Alan Partridge, The Thick of It). the programme will include presentations and discussions about The Third Man and the Mexican background to The Power and the Glory; a tour of the WWI trenches; and screenings of two films based on Greene’s novels, Ministry of Fear and Brighton Rock. Events will take place at the Civic Centre, the Town Hall, and Berkhamsted School.
