Election of the new Bishop of St Albans
Last week, the College of Canons of St Albans Cathedral met for Evensong followed by the Election of the 11th Bishop of St Albans. Among the Canons, you may spot Bev Jullien (right)!
The Canons were unanimous in electing the Rt Revd Andrew Rumsey, currently Bishop of Ramsbury in the Diocese of Salisbury, to be our new Diocesan Bishop. The next step in Bishop Andrew’s journey to St Albans is that the Archbishop of Canterbury will confirm this election, which will take place in June.
