Berkhamsted Cricket Club in St Peter’s
It was a pleasure to welcome Berkhamsted Cricket Club (BCC) to St Peter’s at the end of June, to hold a Junior Practice Session in the nave. Fr Stuart (who is, of course, a massive cricket fan) helped to put up the practice nets, and the girls and boys enjoyed a fun day of cricket practice in the historic surroundings of St Peter’s Church. Events like these help us to build connections with the wider community and bring young people in to appreciate our beautiful building. BCC are celebrating their 150th anniversary this year, and were very excited when a film crew from Sky Sports TV channel recently came down to shoot a piece about their celebrations!
