Advent at Victoria School
The children were introduced to the Advent wreath this week, where we talked about what each candle represented and that Advent was a time to prepare while waiting for the birth of Jesus. We explored what an angel might look like. The children all thought there would be a bright light and there was a range of ideas including wings and halos. They all would be very surprised if an angel appeared but they would listen carefully to the message the angel would give.
We are starting to gather items for our Christmas Fair and we have managed to book Father Christmas to see the children. If anyone would like to come along and see all the wonderful stalls, please come to Victoria School on Saturday 14 December between 12pm and 3pm.
On Friday, we were very lucky that Father Christmas was able to spare his reindeer for the morning. All the children got to sit with the reindeer and find out lots of facts about them. The adults were very excited too and also got to spend some time with the reindeer.
