Victoria School: thinking about second chances
We have been looking at the Parable of the Tenants, focusing on how God gives all of us second chances. It also shows how God is patient and forgiving even after challenging times. I was fortunate this week to be able to observe worship in the classrooms and to see it from the perspective of the children. The teachers from early years to Year 2 were excellent at engaging the children with the parable, recapping on the worship at the start of the week. Year 2 children wrote these prayers inspired by the parable:
Dear God
Thank you for giving us a second chance when we make a mistake.
AmenDear God
Thank you for letting us have second chances. We all need second chances.
Amen
Thanks be to God for second chances.
