On the 11th day of the 11th month at 11am we commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. Everyone is welcome to join us at the War Memorial on the High Street for a short Act of Remembrance at 11am.
If you are passing by, do please pause for 5 minutes to mark this important event in our history. From 12:30pm the bellringers will be ringing the bells of St Peters to mark 100 years since the Armistice.
The Royal British Legion will be marking the day at with a parade from 2:30pm. A short ceremony at the St Peters War Memorial will include a reading of all the names of the fallen of World War One and will begin at 2:45pm, followed by a full Remembrance service inside the church.
