THE FOURTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY 9 September 2007 We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy. We invite you to complete a card which you
will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand
it to one of the welcomers. Communicant members of all Churches are
welcome to receive Holy Communion. If
you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing
and carry a book so the minister knows. Collect: Almighty God, whose only Son has opened for us a new and living way into your presence: give us pure hearts and steadfast wills to worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. AMEN Post Communion: Lord God, the source of truth and love, keep us faithful to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, united in prayer and the breaking of bread, and one in joy and simplicity of heart, in Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN We pray this week within the Anglican Communion for the
Diocese of South West Tanganyika and the bishop who is to be appointed there for our Diocese of St Albans, Christopher
our Bishop and for all his staff for the Centre for the
elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St
Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home,
