 TRINITY SUNDAY                                                                3 June 2007

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Almighty and everlasting God, you have given us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity:  keep us steadfast in this faith, that we may evermore be defended from all adversities;  through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.   AMEN

Readings:  Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31       Romans 5:1-5        John 16:12-15

Post Communion:  Almighty and eternal God, you have revealed yourself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and live and reign in the perfect unity of love:  hold us firm in this faith, that we may know you in all your ways and evermore rejoice in your eternal glory, who are three Persons yet one God, now and for ever   AMEN

We pray this week

within the Anglican Communion for  the diocese of Oji River, Nigeria, and Bishop Amos Madu

for our Diocese of St Albans, Christopher our Bishop and for all his staff

for the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who provide care in many ways

for Christian Hanson & Anna Hill who are being married and for Keith & Donna Bayliss whose wedding is being blessed at St Peter’s this week

for our young people doing GCSE and A Level exams

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved, and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Muriel Norman, Brenda Quarmby, Baby Alex Wright, Mary Swallow, Betty Thorne, Priscilla Coombs

and at their anniversaries pray for: Baby Shane Loveridge, Ethel King, Kenneth James Poole

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
