THE
FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or
on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of all
Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please
come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows. Collect:
Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the
life: raise us, who trust in him, from
the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things
which are above, where he reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. AMEN Post
Communion: Merciful Father, you gave your Son Jesus
Christ to be the good shepherd, and in his love for us to lay down his life
and rise again: keep us always under
his protection, and give us grace to follow in his steps; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN We pray this week within the Anglican
Communion for the for our Diocese of St
Albans, Christopher our Bishop and for all his staff for the Centre for the
elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie
Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who provide care in
many ways for Francesca Gurdon,
Olivia Black, Jordan Addy, Nasya Addy, Katya Khazaneh, Francesca Booth,
Robert Pain and Claire Below being prepared for their First Communion at
Pentecost for Liam Mc Grath and
Amanda Gavan being married at St Peter’s this week. for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved, and
amongst the sick for Douglas Hartley, Cimmy G. Delglyn, Judith Hill, Brenda
Quarmby, Jenny Cracknell, Phil Day, Fred Monnington, Muriel Norman for those who have died recently: Liz Baxendale and at their anniversaries pray for: Grace
Bisset, Margaret Naisbett, Jean Meyer, Margaret Barnard We
give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed
Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron. PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU as a reminder of dates,
