THE FIFTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY 4 September 2005 Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at
Holy Communion Services today We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy. We invite you to complete a card which you
will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand
it to one of the welcomers. Communicant members of all Churches are
welcome to receive Holy Communion. If
you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing
and carry a book so the minister knows. Collect: Lord God, defend your Church from all false teaching and give to your people knowledge of your truth, that we may enjoy eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN Post
Communion: Keep, O Lord, your church, with your
perpetual mercy; and,
because without you our human frailty cannot but fall, keep us ever by your
help from all things hurtful, and lead us to all things profitable to our
salvation; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. AMEN We pray this week for Christopher our
Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans We give thanks that Fr Michael Bowie has been
chosen to be our new Rector and pray for him and his wife for the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for
the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those
who need care and for those who provide care in many ways. for Errol Reilly and Mireille
Gebbink getting married at St Peter’s later this
week. for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved; and amongst the sick for Douglas Hartley,
May Kempster, Michael Taylor, Brenda Quarmby, Jenny Cracknell, Giles
Higgins, Angela Morris for those who have died recently: and at their anniversaries pray for: Peter Currie, Marjorie Kendall, Nancy Agate We
give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed
Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron. At
All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer
