THE FIFTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY           4 September 2005

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Lord God, defend your Church from all false teaching and give to your people knowledge of your truth, that we may enjoy eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

Readings:  Ezekiel 33:7-11        Romans 13:8-end        Matthew 18:15-20

Post Communion:  Keep, O Lord, your church, with your perpetual mercy;  and, because without you our human frailty cannot but fall, keep us ever by your help from all things hurtful, and lead us to all things profitable to our salvation;  through Jesus Christ our Lord.    AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

We give thanks that Fr Michael Bowie has been chosen to be our new Rector and pray for him and his wife Carolina as they prepare to come to Berkhamsted.

for the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who provide care in many ways.

for Errol Reilly and Mireille Gebbink getting married at St Peter’s later this week.

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Douglas Hartley, May Kempster, Michael Taylor, Brenda Quarmby, Jenny Cracknell, Giles Higgins, Angela Morris

for those who have died recently:

and at their anniversaries pray for:  Peter Currie, Marjorie Kendall, Nancy Agate

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.
