THE NINTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY                          24 July 2005

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect:  Gracious Father, revive your Church in our day, and make her holy, strong and faithful, for your glory’s sake in Jesus Christ our Lord   AMEN
Readings:  1 Kings 3:5-12      Romans 8:26-end      Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52
Post Communion:  Holy Father, who gathered us here around the table of your Son to share this meal with the whole household of God:  in that new world where you reveal the fullness of your peace, gather people of every race and language to share in the eternal banquet of Jesus Christ our Lord.    AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

We give thanks and pray for the new Rector who has been chosen for our parish and pray for ourselves as we wait to begin our journey together

for our Church Crèches, Sunday Schools, Pathfinder and Young People’s Fellowship groups and for Little Fishes & Chuckles toddler groups, for all who attend them and for all who help to run them.

for the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (and especially Andrew and Janice Proud working in Addis Ababa).

for Daniel Stephen Henry Clarke and William John Hunt being baptised at St Peter’s today and for their parents and godparents.

for Jon Rockey and Louise Borland, Stephen Rundle & Rebecca Vale and Barny Lee & Jennifer Campbell who are getting married at St Peter’s later this week.
