THOMAS THE APOSTLE 3 July 2005 Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at
Holy Communion Services today We welcome all who worship here today. If
you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers
or to one of the clergy. We invite
you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near
the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers. Communicant members of all Churches are
welcome to receive Holy Communion. If
you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing
and carry a book so the minister knows. Collect: Almighty and eternal God, who, for the firmer
foundation of our faith, allowed your holy apostle Thomas to doubt the
resurrection of your Son till word and sight convinced him; grant to us, who have not seen,
that we also may believe and so confess Christ as our Lord and our God; who
is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now
and for ever. AMEN Post
Communion: Almighty God, who
on the day of Pentecost sent your Holy Spirit to the apostles with the wind from heaven and in tongues of
flame, filling them with joy and boldness to preach the gospel: by the power
of the same Spirit strengthen us to witness to your truth and to draw
everyone to the fire of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN We pray this week for Christopher our
Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans for ourselves as we are led by the Churchwardens
and the PCC to appoint a Rector who will be able to guide us as we seek to
play our part in God’s plans for the future. for the Centre for the
