THE FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY                           26 June 2005

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Almighty God, send down upon your Church the riches of your Spirit, and kindle in all who minister the gospel your countless gifts of grace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

Readings:  Jeremiah 28:5-9       Romans 6:12-end       Matthew 10:40-end

Post Communion:  Grant, O Lord, we beseech you, that the course of this world may be so peaceably ordered by your governance, that your Church may joyfully serve you in all godly quietness; through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for ourselves as we are led by the Churchwardens and the PCC to appoint a Rector who will be able to guide us as we seek to play our part in God’s plans for the future.

for our Church Crèches, Sunday Schools, Pathfinder and Young People’s Fellowship groups and for Little Fishes & Chuckles toddler groups, for all who attend them and for all who help to run them

for the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (and especially Andrew and Janice Proud working in Addis Ababa)

for Alexandra Serena Moore and Polly Demelza Berryman being baptised at St Peter’s today and for their parents and godparents

for Brian Jones & Lisa Dell being married at St Peter’s this week

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Douglas Hartley, May Kempster, Michael Taylor, Christine Tucker, Christina Billington, Bob Essery, Elizabeth Jackson, Rita Euden

for those who have died recently:

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in Charles St (from Kings Rd to North Rd)

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
