Eucharistic Prayer A will be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  God of love, passionate and strong, tender and careful:  watch over us and hold us all the days of our life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  AMEN

Readings:  1 Samuel 1: 20-28     Colossians 3: 12-17     Luke 2: 33-35

Post Communion:  Loving God, as a mother feeds her children at the breast you feed us in this sacrament with the food and drink of eternal life:  help us who have tasted your goodness to grow in grace within the household of faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord.      AMEN

We pray this week

for ourselves as we are led by the Churchwardens and the PCC to appoint a Rector who will be able to guide us as we seek to play our part in God’s plans for the future.

for the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who provide care in many ways.

for Olivia Hope Tasker being baptised at St Peter’s today and for her parents and godparents

for all who are preparing for Confirmation
