THE SECOND SUNDAY OF CHRISTMAS 2 January 2004 Eucharistic Prayer B may be used at Holy Communion
Services today We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or
on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of
all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar
rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows. We pray this week for
Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans for our Churchwardens and PCC as they
try to discern God’s plan for the future of the parish and plans for the
appointment of a new Rector for the Centre
for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the
Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who
provide care in many ways. for all who are preparing for
Confirmation for the lonely, the anxious, the
bereaved; and amongst the sick for
Michael Taylor, Pamela Christmas, Martin Judd, Judith Hill, Brenda Quarmby,
Harry Arnfield, Jenny Cracknell, Christine Tucker, Joanne Smith, Bob Essery,
Alan Cox, Douglas Hartley, Giles Higgins, Doris Williams for those who have died recently: and at their anniversaries pray
for: Patricia Alexander, Bertrand
Chambers, David Jackson We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially
the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron. At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in

Following the Parish Meeting on
13 January with the Archdeacon of St Albans, the Venerable Helen Cunliffe,
there will be an extra ordinary meeting of the PCC 8.00pm Thursday
20 January in All Saints’ Lower Hall to discuss the future of the
Parish. As the PCC's accounting year-end
is 31 December,
will anyone requiring re-imbursement of expenses for 2004 please give the
details to the Treasurer (Michael Robinson) as quickly as possible NEXT SERVICE OF WHOLENESS AND HEALING is
