THE THIRD SUNDAY BEFORE ADVENT 7 November 2004 Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy
Communion Services today We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or
on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of
all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar
rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows. Collect: Heavenly Lord, you long for the world’s salvation: stir us from apathy, restrain us from excess and revive in us new hope that all creation will one day be healed in Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN Readings:

God of peace, whose Son Jesus Christ proclaimed the kingdom and
restored the broken to wholeness of life:
look with compassion on the anguish of the world, and by your healing
power make whole both people and nations;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. AMEN We pray this week for
Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans for our Churchwardens and PCC as they
try to discern God’s plan for the future of the parish and plans for the
appointment of a new Rector for the Centre for the elderly at
Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at
home, for those who need care and for those who provide care in many ways. for Thibaud Sebastien Chaussalet and Storm
Fachaux-Davies being baptised at St Peter’s today and for their parents and
godparents. for the lonely, the anxious, the
bereaved; and amongst the sick for
Judith Hill, Michael Taylor, Pamela Christmas, Martin Judd, Brenda Quarmby,
