ALL SAINTS’ DAY                                                       31 October 2004

Eucharistic Prayer E will be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord:  grant us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living that we may come to those inexpressible joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  AMEN

Readings:  Daniel 7:1-2,  15-18    Luke 6: 20 -31     Ephesians 1:11-23

Post Communion: God, the source of all holiness and giver of all good things: may we who have shared at this table as strangers and pilgrims here on earth be welcomed with all your saints to the heavenly feast on the day of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for our Churchwardens and PCC as they try to discern God’s plan for the future of the parish and plans for the appointment of a new Rector

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for:  Michael Taylor, Pamela Christmas, Martin Judd, Jenny Cracknell, Christine Tucker, Joanne Smith, Nancy Lawrenson, Douglas Hartley, Bob Essery

for those who have died recently:  Nellie Picton

and at their anniversaries pray for:  Tony Tame, Paula Newman, Ann Gibbons, Gordon King, Gertrude Allen

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in Princes Close & Dukes Way

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
