THE THIRTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY         5 September 2004

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect:  Almighty God, you search us and know us:  may we rely on you in strength and rest on you in weakness, now and in all our days;  through Jesus Christ our Lord   AMEN
Readings: at St Peter’s Deuteronomy 30:15-20     Philemon 1-21     Luke 15:1-10
at All Saints’ Deuteronomy 30:15-20     Luke 15:1-10
Post Communion:  God our creator, you feed your children with the true manna, the living bread from heaven:  let this holy food sustain us through our earthly pilgrimage until we come to that place where hunger and thirst are no more;  through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who need care and for those who provide care in many ways.

for Geoffrey Tristram of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist who will make his profession in life vows on Sunday 19 September.

for James Andrew  Carruthers, Sophie Natasha Hall & Kate Elizabeth Stier being baptised at All Saints’ today and for their parents and godparents.
