THE SIXTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY                                18 July 2004

Eucharistic Prayer B will be used at the 9.30am at St Peter’s today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Creator God, you made us all in your image:  may we discern you in all that we see, and serve you in all that we do;  through Jesus Christ our Lord  AMEN

Readings:  Genesis 18: 1-10a      Colossians 1:15-28      Luke 10: 38-42

Post Communion:  God of our pilgrimage, you have led us to the living water: refresh and sustain us as we go forward on our journey, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.      AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for all the schools in the parish;  their staff,  pupils and governors;  and our special responsibilities towards Victoria First School and Thomas Coram Middle School.

for the work of Dacorum Rent Aid

for Dave Walden & Alison Blackmore being married at St Peter’s this week.

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Michael Taylor, Brenda Quarmby, Jenny Cracknell, Pamela Christmas, Mavis Haile, Rod Cottrell,  Martin Judd, Christine Tucker, Biddy Shacklock, Nancy Agate

for those who have died recently:

and at their anniversaries pray for:  Robert Aitchison, Leonard Euden

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives on the north side of Shootersway (from Cross Oak Road to Coppins Close)

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.  Fr Mark’s sermons at St Peter’s are normally available from the church table.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
