for pews

EASTER SUNDAY 11 April 2004
Eucharistic
Prayer E may be used at Holy Communion Services today
We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one of
the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on
the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of all
Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please
come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect:
Lord of all life and power; who
through the mighty resurrection of your Son overcame the old order of sin and
death to make all things new in him:
grant that we, being dead to sin and alive to you in Jesus Christ, may
reign with him in glory; to whom with
you and the Holy Spirit be praise and honour, glory and might, now and in all
eternity. AMEN
Readings: Acts 10:34-43 1Corinthians 15:19-26 Luke 24:1-12
Post Communion: God of Life, who for our redemption gave your
only-begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection
have delivered us from the power of our enemy;
grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in
the joy of his risen life; through Jesus
Christ our Lord. AMEN
