news for pews

THE THIRD SUNDAY BEFORE LENT 8 February 2004
Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services
today
We welcome all who worship here
today. If you are a newcomer please
speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy. We invite you to complete a card which you
will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it
to one of the welcomers. Communicant
members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please
come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect: Eternal God, whose Son went among the crowds and brought healing with his touch: help us to show his love, in your church as we gather together, and by our lives as they are transformed into the image of Christ our Lord. AMEN
Readings: Isaiah 6: 1-13 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
Luke 5: 1-11
Post Communion: Merciful Father, who gave
Jesus Christ to be for us the bread of life, that those who come to him should
never hunger: draw us to the Lord in
faith and love, that we may eat and drink with him at his table in the kingdom,
where he is alive and reigns, now and for ever. AMEN
