ALL SAINTS’ DAY 2 November 2003
Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services
today
We welcome all who worship here today. If you are a newcomer please speak to one
of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.
We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on
the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the
welcomers. Communicant members of all
Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail
for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect: God of holiness, your glory is proclaimed in every age: as we rejoice in the faith of your saints, inspire us to follow their example with boldness and joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
Readings: Isaiah
56 3-8 Hebrews 12.18-24 Matthew 5.1-12
Post Communion: God, the source of all
holiness and giver of all good things:
may we who have shared at this table as strangers and pilgrims here on
earth be welcomed with all your saints to the heavenly feast on the day of your
kingdom; through Jesus Christ our
Lord AMEN
We pray this week
for Christopher our
Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans
for the Centre for the elderly at Gossoms End, for the
Hospice of St Francis and for the Iain Rennie Hospice at home, for those who
need care and for those who provide care in many ways
for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved; and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Jenny
Luckhurst, Michael Taylor, Jim Lawrenson, Brenda Quarmby, Ann Gibb, Pat Large,
Basil Jones, Audrey Conway
for those who have died recently:
and at their anniversaries pray for: Tony Tame,
Paula Newman, Gordon King, Bessie Gascoigne, John Miller
We give thanks for our communion with all the
Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.
PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer
etc. Fr Mark’s sermons at St Peter’s
are normally available from the church table.
Do take copies for anyone not here today.
