LAST SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY 26 October 2003

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Merciful God, teach us to be faithful in change and uncertainty, that trusting in your word and obeying your will we may enter the unfailing joy of Jesus Christ our Lord   AMEN

Readings:  Jeremiah 31.7-9     Hebrews 7.23-28     Mark 10.46-52

Post Communion:   God of all grace, your son Jesus Christ fed the hungry with the bread of his life and the word of his kingdom:  renew your people with your heavenly grace, and in all our weakness sustain us by your true and living bread;  who is alive and reigns, now and for ever.   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for our Church Crèches, Sunday Schools, Pathfinder and Young People’s Fellowship groups and for Little Fishes & Chuckles toddler groups, for all who attend them and for all who help to run them

for the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (and especially Andrew and Janice Proud working in Addis Ababa)

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Jenny Luckhurst, Michael Taylor, Christina Billington, Ann Gibb, Pat Large, Basil Jones, Audrey Conway

for those who have died recently:

and at his anniversary pray for:  Arthur Lander

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in North side of Shrublands Avenue + Larch Rise

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.   Fr Mark’s sermons at St Peter’s are normally available from the church table.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
