THE EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY   19 October 2003

We welcome all who worship here today.

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today.

If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  God, our judge and saviour, teach us to be open to your truth and to trust in your love, that we may live each day with confidence in the salvation which is given  through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

Readings:  Isaiah 53.4-12     Hebrews 7.23-28     Mark 10.35-45Post Communion:  We praise and thank you, O Christ, for this sacred feast:  for here we receive you, here the memory of your passion is renewed, here our minds are filled with grace, and here a pledge of future glory is given, when we shall feast at that table where you reign with all your saints for ever.   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

within the Anglican Communion for  our Church Schools, Victoria First School and headteacher, Janet Robinson and Thomas Coram School and headteacher Robert Essery

for the Guyana Diocesan Association

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Jenny Luckhurst, Michael Taylor, Brenda Quarmby, Ann Gibb, Pat Large, Basil Jones, Audrey Conway

for those who have died recently:

and at their anniversaries pray for:  Winifred Dollemore, Sylvia Snell, Julia Case

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in Orchard Avenue
