THE SEVENTEENTH AFTER TRINITY   12 October 2003

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.

Collect:  Gracious God, you call us to fullness of life:  deliver us from unbelief and banish our anxieties with the liberating love of Jesus Christ our Lord  AMEN

Readings:  Amos 5.6, 7, 10-15     Hebrews 4.12-16     Mark.10.17-31

Post Communion. Lord, we pray that your grace may always precede and follow us, and make us continually to be given to all good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

We pray this week

for Christopher our Bishop and for Christopher and Richard his suffragans

for Sister Diana of the Sisters of the Love of God, for Geoffrey Tristram of the Society of St John the Evangelist and all those who are living in a Religious Community

for the work of the Church Army

for the lonely, the anxious, the bereaved;  and amongst the sick for Judith Hill, Jenny Luckhurst, Michael Taylor, Joan Calnan, Ann Gibb, Pat Large, Basil Jones, Richard Eller, Audrey Conway

for those who have died recently:  Vera Pullen

and at his anniversary pray for:  Chris Smalley

We give thanks for our communion with all the Saints, especially the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Peter our patron.

At All Saints’ the weekly prayers are for everyone who lives in Greenway (from Finch Rd going west)

PLEASE TAKE THIS PEW LEAFLET AWAY WITH YOU  as a reminder of dates, subjects for prayer etc.   Fr Mark’s sermons at St Peter’s are normally available from the church table.   Do take copies for anyone not here today.
