THE TWELFTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY  7 September 2003

Eucharistic Prayer F or G may be used at Holy Communion Services today

We welcome all who worship here today.   If you are a newcomer please speak to one of the welcomers or to one of the clergy.   We invite you to complete a card which you will find in your pew, or on the table near the door of the church, and hand it to one of the welcomers.   Communicant members of all Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion.   If you are not receiving Communion please come to the altar rail for a blessing and carry a book so the minister knows.
Collect
:  God of constant mercy, who sent your Son to save us:   remind us of your goodness, increase your grace within us, that our thankfulness may grow,  through Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

Post Communion
:  God of all mercy, in this Eucharist you have set aside our sins and given us your healing:  grant that we who are made whole in Christ may bring that healing to this broken world, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.   AMEN

TWO EMMAUS COURSES – Growth Course starts this week: 
Emmaus Growth Course a four to five week advanced course looking at the bible, 8.00pm Wednesdays from 10 September at Landswood, Shootersway, led by John Malcolm; 
Emmaus Nurture Course, for those exploring Christian teaching, or thinking of Confirmation, will start in mid-October.

HARVEST FESTIVAL APPEAL Sunday 28 September.   A plate collection will be taken for the Bishop of St Albans Harvest for the Hungry appeal.   The more traditional gifts (for guidance do pick up a leaflet) from children (& others) will be given to local charities:  Herts Young Homeless Group, The Hospice of St Francis and the Gossoms End Centre.
