At the heart of the community in the busy market town of Berkhamsted, St Peter’s follows a living tradition of inclusive worship focused on the Eucharist, encouraging us all to grow in experience, knowledge and love of God.

St Peter’s has been a focal point for worship in the local community ever since the 13th century. Today, we work to help people put God first in their lives, promote mutual respect for others and encourage life-long Christian learning especially through the work of our two church schools.
The culmination of our daily services is our Sunday worship; the church also offers the community many different activities from children’s groups to a Saturday community coffee bar to lunch clubs. There is also a wide range of social and charitable events throughout the year, such as our annual Petertide Fair in June.
Do come and participate in one of our services. You will receive a very warm welcome and there will be plenty of people around to help answer any questions you might have, or to support and encourage you as you seek to be part of our worshipping community.

St Peter’s follows a traditional Anglican style of worship, centred on the Eucharistic tradition, with services throughout the week.
On Sundays, we have three main services:
| 8am | Holy Eucharist | |
| 9:30am | Sung Eucharist with crèche, Sunday school and Pathfinders for children |
|
| 6pm | Evening Worship | |
| 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month: | Evening Prayer | |
| 2nd Sunday of month: | Choral Evensong | |
| 4th Sunday of month: | meditation service | |
