St Peter's is a thriving Anglican community in the heart of the busy market town of Berkhamsted. The church itself dates back to the 13th Century and today is a place where a growing congregation of over 200 gathers together every Sunday to worship God.
We follow a traditional, inclusive, worship style focused on the Eucharist and encourage all to grow in their experience, knowledge and love of God. We are a popular choice for baptisms and weddings and, alongside our services, we also have a whole host of groups appealing to different members of the community from a toddler group on a Friday to prayer groups and lunch clubs. We also host many events throughout the year, the most popular of which is the annual Petertide Fair in June which raises money for charity.
St Peter's is part of the Berkhamsted Team Ministry which includes the churches of Holy Trinity, Potten End, St Peter and St Paul, Little Gaddesden, St John the Baptist, Great Gaddesden and St Lawrence, Nettleden. There are two schools affiliated to St Peter's in Berkhamsted Victoria First School and Nursery and Thomas Coram Middle School. Both schools benefit from a very close relationship with St Peter's and its clergy.
